About Us
We are a kukjae hapkido club in Wellington affiliated to the KHFNZ.
Currently catering for 8 to 15 year olds and training follows the Kukjae Hapkido Junior Syllabus:
- Combines elements of Taekwondo and Judo
- Self defence emphasises break aways
- No hard joint locking or similiar techniques
- Taekwondo style free-sparring only
- Hapkido Junior Grading syllabus up to double black tip
- Can take adult first dan grading at age 15
Syllabus is being finalised and is subject to change.
Club Location
The Wellington South Childen's Kukjae Hapkido club trains at Vogelmorn Hall, Vennell Street, Vogelmorn during the school term.

Mark Conchie
Head club instructor of the Wellington South children's Kukjae Hapkido Club
Mark commenced training under Grand Master Lee in March 1984. He has cross trained with a variety of other martial arts but is of the opinion that Hapkido encompasses the general variety of the other styles. He has been instructing over 15 years. Other interests include indoor netball, chess, cartoon drawing. He is married with three sons.
Training Fees
Training fees are $30/term.
